I have seen some of the results from the Russian raw nats now. Huge lifting. The open 83 male won with a 731 total, the open 93 won with an incredible 830.5 total- made up of sq285.5, b205, Dl 340!!!! Crazy. The 105 male won with 810.5 (290/210.5/310), the 120 male won with a massive 920 total (340/232.5/347.5) and the super male won with a 887.5 total (310/230/347.5).

For me Julz i don't care who turns up i just want my training to put me in a position where i have the potential to achieve the goals i set. In order to set those goals i want to know how heavy i need to lift and i can't do that without knowing what a competitive total is. I'll be following SP and printing out the list too i think. MT doesn't want me to set an actual number goal this time cause he wants me to follow the RTS process properly so i'm just going to find out what total is competitive and push as hard as i can to get there. no excuses to wimp out on a set then Well I guess you'll have to wait and see when the nominations come out to make your best guess. Off hand I'd say a 300 dead. It may get you bronze, it may get you gold, it may not get you a podium (it will get you [more] respect). You already have a competitive total. If you can push it to 670 - 80 by June that would be a phenomenal effort. Fuck even 660, a 7.5 increase, would be superb.

lol a 7.5kg increase would be pretty crap seeing as I'm so new to proper training and i have 10wks. 680 is the unofficial goal for now but will see how training goes in the next few weeks. I'm only setting a vague goal for this cycle cause MT doesn't want me stuffing up his programming by going for set numbers each training session. I'll put up the targets to make sure i give all my sessions my all.

7.5 isn't so bad if you get an injury or other unforseen setbacks that you overcome during that time. I'm not trying to temper your expectations or your drive. I want to see you put up big numbers, would be great.

Anyone game to lay down their goals? I changed my training around and with only 4weeks managed a pr squat. My shoulder issue has gone (for now) and I believe with deadlift I just need to sort out some technical issues to get a big pull to stick. I think I know what I need to to hit prs in all lifts. I think 335/225/325 is very achievable, at a stretch 340/227.5/327.5. I know I'll be starting around the cusp of the top 5. Anything can happen.

I am more focussed than ever, have a hectic run up to worlds but nothing will stop me training n eating well. After a predicatbly terrible nats, i know i will go past PB form at worlds as I will work harder than ever before. my goals are
Squat: 272.5 and a medal Bench: 185 Dead: 295 ( a semingly big jump but can pull over 300, just sorting grip, new things, i am confident) total : on awesoem day 750, happy with 730+, subn 730 not happy.
Aiming to hit 5-8th overall range.

there is still no 83 nominations confirmed to check out either. I would love 240/150/290, on a good day i'd hope to deadlift a bit more maybe 295

Would you be able to put them up on mediafire or similar and post the link here or post a link to where we can find them?
