Cheers but do you have the likes of Kazakhstan etc also? Or know are there Feds home pages are? Does the ipf have links to the memet nations pages? Amazing results to see from these countries.

USAPL just decided to leave the weight classes as they were for national and loacl comps. It means the 82.5s become 83s. Yeah the USA 83 is awesome.

one 83kg nomination came through at 605kg. thought to myself at least i won't be the lightest nomination then youtube'd him and found he squatted 260kg and apparently won a world championship in 2010. This comp is going to be epic

The nomination can be strategic, I think. Last year in Sweden, I remember a Russian (or maybe UKR) has a lower nomination with around 230~240kg deadlift compared to a Swede in the 74kg class. The Swede was comfortably leading the pack by 5~10kg in both squat and bench, thinking he would wrap it up with the deadlift. Then the Russian came out and pulled 280+ opener then about 300 to take first place total.

Normally the qualifying total comes from whatever the qualifying event is. It might be that they didn't need to go all out to qualify.
