I currently squat in a pair of hi top converse, but I've been thinking about swapping to one of the squat shoes made by titan/metal on the theory it will be more stable while walking out.
As far as I know, there is one metal shoe and two different titan shoes. Anyone tried any of them and know what the general differences are or have any suggestions?

I've never worn the Titan boots, but they are the old Safe design which have a slight heel (1/8" I think).
The Metals are truly flat. I wear them and think they're great.

How thick is the sole on them? and how do the sizes match up to other shoes?

The Metals? The sole is really thin, only a few mm. Sizes match up fine.

I have metals as well - love em for squats.
I usually were a loosish size US9, went with a size 8 for the Metals. I have to undo the laces to the second notch from the bottom, but when they are on they hug my foot like a glove without being too tight.

Go with the metals. They'll feel heaps better than chucks.
