Background
Hey all, I’m Brianna, I train with Gold Coast Barbell. I initially became interested in Powerlifting after realising I wasn’t quite agile enough to be a boxer and that lifting came a little more naturally to me. The fact that Powerlifting didn’t require skipping or running as a regular component of training was also attractive…
I started with GCB in March 2012 and had my first meet in June. My goal is always to be stronger than I was the day/meet before…Love competing and the Powerlifting community in general, it’s great!
I'm going to log my training over in the Traing Logs forum, but I thought I'd post my current goals and regular updates here too.
Recent Stats
After a pretty shocking meet at my first Nationals (live and learn) I went back to basics and managed to get back on track. I last lifted at Strength Sports Challenge on Aug 12 at 71.9kg BW (after a hectic 6kg water cut). Didn’t quite get the total I wanted but felt I had a strong meet anyway, in light of the fact I’d gone through my first major water cut, and managed to set some PB’s along the way.
PB’s to date
Squat: 112.5
Bench: 57.5
Deadlift: 132.5
Current Goals
- Sq: 120 B: 65 DL: 150 335kg Elite Total Please….
- Reduce BW/BF%: ideally would like to walk around at 68-70. I hate water cutting. I hate it A LOT!
- Generally become a beast. A sexy, strong one…
- Overcome the ridiculous mental barrier that has stopped my bench from progressing ALL. YEAR. I will be a bench monster…
