The University of Newcastle is currently offering a training monitoring service for elite level powerlifters. This service will provide you with a detailed training diary, which allows you to log details of all training sessions you complete, and calculate both the external and internal training loads that these sessions provide. Further, you will have access to a comprehensive wellness questionnaire that is commonly used by Sport Scientists to monitor how athletes are coping with the daily stress of life and training. These monitoring tools will allow you to examine whether your training doses are appropriate for your current training cycle, and identify any links between changes in daily wellness scores and training load. It is envisioned that training load and wellness information detailed in this log will be published in scientific journals as peer reviewed research, though the specifics of individual training programs will not be published.
If you are interested in receiving these monitoring tools, please contact Brendan Scott (brendan.scott@uon.edu.au).
