Latest article by Mike T of RTS: www.reactivetrainingsystems.com/vforums/content.php?117-A-Case-Against-SpecificityI was thinking of applying something like this to my training this cycle, due to my needs to address the structural imbalance on my left side and bulletproof weak injury-prone parts of my body. My current plan for this 12 weeks cycle is: Prep 1 (4 weeks) Instead of Sheiko #37, I plan to do the following: Adequate volume for the powerlifts for my level (class 3 rated lifter), training weights around 70~80% (a bit higher for bench). I'm squatting, benching and deadlifting 3x weekly using the Heavy Light Medium principle for loading (done this in the past, my work capacity can take it). Mostly to maintain current strength and perhaps using the lower intensity to fix and improve techniques. More time dedicated to some hypertrophy work to fix said structural imbalance and improve other areas e.g curls, tri ext, rear delt, face pulls, rows, chins. Plus conditioning for better work capacity and body composition (GPP sessions) Prep 2: Sheiko #37 - build strength through specificity Comp: Sheiko #32 - hone strength skills for comp (Aug 18 loser comp in Melbourne) What do you reckon?
